Keeping the middle-class family at the center, more affordable electric vehicles are going to be launched. Here is a list of electric vehicles that are going to be launched soon in the Indian market at an affordable price. The Tata Punch EV would be having an electronic parking brake and drive selector as is found in the Tata Nexon EV Max. The vehicle would have a 10.25-inch touchscreen display.

It is anticipated to get a lithium-ion battery of the rating 30.2 kWh and an electric mill run by the Ziptron EV powertrain innovation. The Tata Motors’ Ziptron powertrain consists of a liquid-cooled battery and a permanent magnet synchronous motor, offering power to its front wheels. The Tata Punch EV would be having features almost equivalent to the Tata Tigor EV. This electric car will come in a single battery pack. The motor and the battery will have a torque rating of 100 Nm.

The higher range variant of the vehicle is expected to offer a range of 300+ kilometers on each charge, and its low range variant would be offering a range of 200-250 km.

The price of the Tata Punch EV is expected to be Rs. 10-12 lakhs. The scheduled launch date of the electric car is around the end of 2023.

The price of the Mahindra BE 05 is expected to be Rs. 12-16 lakhs. The Mahindra BE 05 will be the first dedicated electric vehicle product from the Mahindra BE brand. It is an SUV that can give competition to the Tata Avinya. This electric car is the size of the Hyundai Creta.

The new electric car, Mahindra BE 05 is incorporated with Mahindra's new INGLO concept. The BE 05 will come with the features such as rear-wheel drive (up to 285 PS) and all-wheel drive (up to 394 PS) powertrains.

The INGLO platform will have battery packs of ratings 60 kWh and 80 kWh. The BE 05 will be having a WLTP range of about 450 kilometers. The new EVs from Mahindra company will get the products like battery packs and motors inspired by the VW MEB platform.

Most probably, the Mahindra BE 05 would be launched by October 2025.

The cost of the Maruti Wagon R electric car is expected to be around Rs. 10-14 lakhs. Maruti Suzuki showcased the variant in September 2018 at the MOVE mobility summit. As per reports, the first Maruti Wagon R electric car would be launched by the year 2025.

The electric car would be having fast charging capabilities. The expected range of the electric car is about 130 km. The vehicle will be having new alloy wheels.

The Maruti Suzuki Wagon R electric is expected to have a 50 kW electric motor. The electric car would be of automatic transmission type.

The cost of this most affordable electric car is expected to be about Rs. 5-8 lakhs.

The Tata Nano EV is affordable for customers who don't want to buy an expensive electric car with a long-range, and high speed. This vehicle would be easy to travel with on narrow roads and for lesser ranges. The range of the upcoming Tata Nano EV will be 120–140 km per charge. The top speed of the EV is expected to be 80 km/hour.

The Tata Nano EV will be having a 17-kWh lithium-ion battery. The Tata Nano EV would come with a motor rated at 27 hp and a maximum resultant torque of 68 Nm. The electric car has a regenerative braking facility. A regular home charger would charge the car in 7.5 hours. It gets charged from 0 to 80% in 75 minutes, with the help of a fast charger.

The electric car is expected to be launched by the year, 2024. The Tata Nano EV came after the collaboration of Tata Motors and Jayem Automotives.

The price of Hyundai Venue Electric is expected to be Rs. 12-15 lakhs.

The Hyundai Venue Electric has puddle lamps. The electric car has diamond-cut alloy wheels. The Hyundai Venue Electric has also got a LED projector headlamp. It has an ambient lighting system, which looks fantastic. Automatic headlamps are provided in it and a headlamp escort function is also there in the electric car.

It also has a digital cluster with color TFT. An auto-healthy air purifier is there in the car. The electric car comes with a power driver seat and front seatback scoop. The Hyundai Venue Electric has optimized aerodynamics with greater efficiency. It also comes with a rear wheel deflector.

This electric car is very safe as it is provided with 6 airbags, vehicle stability management, and electronic stability control features. It has a wireless phone charging facility also.

As per the reports, it is expected that this SUV from Hyundai will come with a range of about 300 km.

The Hyundai Venue Electric is the company's first EV for the mass market in India. And, it is expected to be launched before the end of the year, 2024. This EV has the potential to compete with the Tata Nexon EV.

The price of the Kia Soul EV is expected to be Rs. 10-12 lakhs.

The electric car's driving range is expected to be about 280 km on a single charge. The Kia Soul EV would be equipped with a Lithium-ion polymer battery pack of the rating 64 kWh.

The electric car will come with an adaptive smart cruise control function. It is provided with alloy wheels. The electric car will be having a 10.25-inch navigation touchscreen.

The expected launch date of the Kia Soul EV is not yet revealed by the company or any other sources. But, the company has planned to launch many more EVs globally by the year 2027.
